Different types of “chi”

In acupunctchiure, everything revolves around energy aka chi – increasing chi, reducing chi, moving chi.  Chi is everywhere and in everything.  What are these types of chi?

Guchi – chi in food.  According to acupuncture, the chi in food is liberated by the spleen and is referred to as post heaven chi.

Pre-heaven chi – This is chi that is inherited from your parents. If the chi inherited is not quality chi, this can result in birth defects.

Ying chi -This is the chi insde blood vessels.

Quan chi (defensive chi) – This is chi that seves to defend the body from attacks on the body.  It would correlate to the immune system in western medicine.

Evil chi- This is chi that can be pathogenic to the body: weather, bacteria, food etc

So, know you know something about chi.
